Finally Able to Use the Oven
The weather has finally cooled down enough that I can use the over without contributing to the oven that has been our house the last few weeks. Today I took full advantage of the cool air wafting through the sliding glass door and baked up some Fair Scones.
I topped the scone with Grey Salt Butter from local Cherry Valley Dairy and some raspberry jam that I put up from last year's harvest. The butter is a wonderful yellow color. I am going to ask them next time if it is all natural coloring from the Jersey cow milk it is made from or if they add any extra coloring to the mix. I will definitely be purchasing some more!
